Programs
Comfort Blankets
One of our most cherished initiatives, Comfort Blankets, brings comfort to individuals by providing handmade blankets to those in need. Whether it’s a family in Airdrie experiencing loss due to illness, accident, fire, or other tragedies, these blankets serve as a symbol of warmth and care. We also turn this initiative into a meaningful program, where volunteers and members help support the community through donations and other ways to get involved.
Caring Closet
Caring for our community has been at the heart of Airdrie 1st Club since the very beginning. Inspired by this mission, we created the Caring Closet — a special initiative currently housed at the North Rocky View Community Links office. It offers thoughtfully chosen gifts for children whose families may not have the means to provide one. With compassion and discretion, NRVCL helps connect those in need with a meaningful gift, no questions asked, just kindness delivered.
Holiday Hamper
Each year, our Holiday Hamper Program provides essential support to those facing financial hardship during the holiday season. Through generous donations and sponsorships, we help families, seniors, and individuals celebrate with food and gifts. Community support allows us to fulfill hundreds of hampers, ensuring no one is left behind during this special time of year.
Valentine For Seniors
Each February, our Valentine’s for Seniors Fundraiser helps spread love to seniors in Airdrie care homes who may not otherwise receive a Valentine. Through community support, we deliver flowers and treats to brighten their day and remind them they are remembered and valued. Every Valentine purchased helps create moments of connection, kindness, and joy for local seniors.
